Engaging Citizens in Urban Environments – online dissemination conference of the LUPSRUSS-2 project.

Papers will focus on the following topics, based on LUPSRUSS studies of towns in Sweden, Denmark and Russia:

  • What factors increase local identity and improve trust in local authorities?
  • How the development of the Russian federal ‘Accessible environments’ programme affects activism on social media
  • Comfortable town environments for everyone: A case study of Copenhagen
  • The involvement of citizens in processes of town planning – examples from Russia

Each paper will be followed by a period of discussion and exchange of ideas and expertise between regions that are facing similar challenges.
